Sunshine and friendship

Monday and Tuesday were gorgeous days. The sun was out, but I was working in a theatre with no windows. By 6, I was out of the hospital and the wonderful feeling of the warmth of the Sun on the skin during the spring and summer months is just pure heaven. The temperature was about 19-20 degrees and perfect on both these days. Driving home listening to lovely songs when the sun is still out is just something to look forward to at the end of a long day at work. Yesterday, I only had a small case to do in the afternoon and had the rest of the day off. The weather was abysmal and the temperature had dropped by 10 degrees. However this did not matter, my whatsapp friends and family were there to cheer me up. Funny narratives, nostalgic songs, hilarious videos, smiley photos of my grand nieces and grand daughter. What more can you ask for? Today I was working. This time in King George’s Hospital. The sun was out again. The theatre and hospital is designed in such a way that we get maximum light through the huge windows. It is a much happier place to work in compared to Queens hospital. Also Thursdays I work with Sandy. There is never a dull moment when you are working with Sandy. So I just wanted to say thank you to my friends and family who are the rays of sunshine in my life when the sun refuses to come out and play.

The first patient on my list, an elderly gentleman, complimented my teeth this morning. I think I was smiling too much. Life certainly is wonderful.
